Knight Frank’s award winning App

Knight Frank, the largest, privately owned global property agency in the world, launched their first iPhone App at the beginning of 2010.
Yet the company felt that despite being award-winning, the App needed an improved user experience and commission a development programme last year to produce a new version. In addition this gave the company the opportunity to develop a totally new iPad version as well.
As great imagery is core to the marketing of property, the App needed to be visually impressive, yet present a simple and intuitive user experience. In addition it had to have all of the usual functionality expected from a property app – saved and downloadable searches, mapping and the ability to share data via social platforms and email amongst others.
The launch of this new App has seen a 50% increase in downloads and by October of last year the app had been download nearly 30,000. Since launch almost 3 million property viewings have been logged with an average session lasting 2.5minutes.
In September of 2012, the App picked up the Wirehive 100 Award’s Best Mobile/Tablet Project at the Digital Agency Awards.
