Hotels on Google maps - No mint on your pillow with this room service

Today Google announced its movement into hospitality listings by testing a new feature on Google Maps that shows individual hotel prices. This move is likely to be welcomed by hoteliers across the industry.
This has only been provided on the Google.com and only for "small portion of users". The listings also only show a "limited number of advertisers that have agreed to give pricing information".
So what does this mean for Estate Agents?
Taking this one step further, surely there is no reason why Google maps cannot place letting information on Google Maps instead of just sales?
Lettings are less permanent than hotel prices but many will argue that the technology is there for Google to make themselves the central resource for... well everything.
