Estate Agent social networking - Facebook wants you to vote

This weekend Facebook will be asking all UK users to vote in a bid to boost voter turnout.

Social networking experts have suggested that this plan could easily be a huge success and a step towards a digital future, whereas others have refuted this as another crazy scheme to try to get the younger generation to vote.

On Saturday every UK user that logs into Facebook will be asked if they have registered to vote. If they answer no, they will then be directed to the Electoral Commission.

The last election had a turn-out of 61.4% with only 37% of 18-24 year olds showing that this collaboration is a possible attempt to get more of the younger generation to vote.

Currently with a population of around 62 million and a Facebook saturation of 23 million users in the UK this could make all the difference.
