Samsung Galaxy S9 To Launch Next Month

Although some suspected that the Samsung Galaxy S9 would be launched at this year’s CES, no one was holding their breath. The next expected date is at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona which starts on the 26th February…

Samsung tends to launch flagship smartphones at or around the Mobile World Congress with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge being unveiled at MWC 2016, and the Samsung Galaxy S8 launched just after MWC 2017.

However, there’s no need for speculation because Samsung mobile chief DJ Koh has pretty much confirmed at a press conference in Las Vegas that the Galaxy S9 will be unveiled at MWC 2018.

Samsung are likely to be releasing two smartphones, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus next month.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 range will come in a 5.8inch and 6.2inch screen, a vertically positioned dual camera (with a fingerprint scanner underneath), a Snapdragon 845 and 6GB of RAM.

DJ Koh also addressed the ongoing rumour that Samsung will be launching a foldable phone, yet he as per usual he said that the company will reveal such a device next year…
