iPhone 8 Rumours

| Technology

Hot off the heels of the iPhone 7 released just two months ago, the iPhone 8 rumours have already started flooding the web.

It looks like Apple may be taking a leaf from Samsung’s book by planning to squeeze a larger display into the iPhone’s compact design using curved edged screens.

It is thought that the iPhone 8 will come with a larger, curved screen which will turn the current 4.7 inch iPhone 7 and the 5.5 inch iPhone 7 Plus into a larger 5 inch and 5.8 inch models in Apple’s next generation iPhone.

These screen displays will cover the entire face of the device.

If this rumour turns out to be true, it will be the first screen size increase since the iPhone 6 which increased by 0.7 inches from its predecessor (the iPhone 5S) and they also released the much larger Plus version.

The screen will be from edge to edge and the larger iPhone Plus option may even come with an OLED screen.

The next generation device is also rumoured to have a brand new glass and metal design, and no home button instead having an embedded Touch ID sensor underneath the display.

It may also come with wireless charging that will work over a certain distance.

Of course, these are only just rumours and the only rumours we can be quite sure of at this point is that the iPhone 8 will come with a faster processor, better cameras and the new iOS upgrade.

The release of the iPhone 8 is quite a while off, so we won’t know for sure what Apple has up their sleeves for the next generation iPhone for quite some time.

The iPhone 8 is rumoured to come out next year, skipping the iPhone 7S, in order to celebrate the iPhone’s 10th anniversary with a brand new device.
