Google Maps: Never Forget Where You Parked Your Car

Never lose your car again!

Google has announced a new feature that will help Google Maps users remember where they parked their car.

This new feature was originally launched back in March 2017 as a beta test for Android users only, but this handy new feature has now been rolled out on both Android and iOS devices.

The feature is very easy to use, if your device is connected to your car via USB audio or Bluetooth, then Google Maps will automatically save your vehicles location on the map when you disconnect your device.

If your device isn’t connected, follow these simple instructions below:

For iOS users -

Once you’ve parked your car, click on the blue dot and choose “Set as parking location”. A P label will appear on the map, showing you where you have parked.

For Android users –

This is exactly the same as the iOS users, tap on the blue dot and choose “Save your parking”.

Both versions offer extra handy features. If you click on the parking icon on the map, it will open the parking card which allows you to add a note to yourself in case you want to give yourself more detailed instructions, you can also set a timer, send your parking location to a friend or view a picture of your parking space to help you remember where it is.

This feature is available now on both Android and iOS devices on the latest version of Google Maps.
