Apple Watch: battery life will only last a day

There has been a lot of a talk about Apple Watch’s battery life and now Apple has confirmed what we were all fearing. Apple confirmed that you will want to charge your Apple Watch every night.

The Apple Watch was announced back on September 9th alongside the iPhone 6 and is Apple’s first wearable device.

Since it has been announced, many have speculated that the Apple Watch’s battery life isn’t going to be great and they were right.

Apple has practically confirmed that you will need to charge your watch every night.

An Apple spokesperson said “"There's a lot of new technology packed into Apple Watch and we think people will love using it throughout the day, we anticipate that people will charge nightly which is why we designed an innovative charging solution that combines our MagSafe technology and inductive charging.”

Although battery life seems to be a pretty big problem for smartwatches, smartwatches on average seem to last 2-3 days, some reaching up to a week, but this still means a lot of Apples competitor last a lot longer.

Unless Apple can make some tweaks to give it more battery life by its release date in early 2015, the Apple Watch may not get off to the most popular start.

However, we doubt many Apple fans will be fazed by this new and we still expect the Apple Watch to dominate the smartwatch market regardless.
