Your properties are now on Google Maps

On Wednesday 16th June Google announced that it will include properties on UK version of Google Maps.

This highly anticipated service has been a hot topic amongst Estate Agents in the UK - after America and Australia became the first two countries to host this feature.

Previously Resource Techniques covered 'Google Maps - the Facts' and 'the affect of Google maps on the Australian property market'.

There are only a select few Estate Agents and portals currently uploading to Google Maps. These include Zoopla, PropertyLive, SmartNewHomes and Team's very own Teamprop.co.uk.

By selecting 'properties' from either UK internet users now have the ability to search for properties via area, sale or rent, price, property type, bedrooms and bathrooms. Property searchers then have the choice to either use the map to search for properties or the list on the left.

The properties then have more information displaying photos, local transport, a small Google maps and Street view and any associated links to the Estate Agent.

Troy Stanley, CTO of Resource Techniques comments on properties being uploaded to Google Maps, 'Resource Techniques has had the pleasure of closely speaking with Google after visiting them in their UK office. We look forward to a continuing close relationship.'
