The death of a domain name

Reports have come in that the Yugoslavian domain of .yu will cease to be from the 30th of September since the former soviet country no longer exists. Instead, .rs for Serbia and .me for Montenegro has been assigned for each country, respectively, by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (I.C.A.N.N).

Although .yu expiry will most likely pass without notice from estate agents here in the United Kingdom, but there is an Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) lesson to be learnt.
