Gadget of the week: Solowheel
23 February, 2011 | Web design
The Solowheel is a modern approach to the classic circus act – the humanly impossible to control unicycle.
With a similar design, the Solowheel uses one wheel to transport the rider 12 mph. Leaning forward makes it go faster and leaning backwards, slower – similar to the infamous Segway.
It is powered by a 1000-Watt electric motor that runs for 2 hours and only takes 45 minutes to charge.
Current estimates from the internet claim that this green-one-wheeled-machine will go for around $1,500. Time to start saving those pennies to turn into cents…
