Build Your Websites Credibility

When it comes to websites for estate agents there are many factors you need to target such as SEO, web design and social media to ensure your website is a success but a crucial factor that is commonly overlooked is the credibility of the website.

However if we want our views and opinions heard, we first must get our customers to trust in our website.

Why do you need a credible website?

Having a trusted website gives you the ability to:

  1. Improve the visitors opinion of you
  2. Change the users behaviour

How to get a trusted website?

1. Professionally designed website

The visual design of the website is one of the most important factors to determine its credibility. People immediately judge a website by its visual appearance. We do this with everything so why would it be any different for a website.

A modern looking website could be the difference between losing a potential client and gaining one.

2. Ease of use

When it comes to usability and functionality you need to only think about the visitor and not your personal preference. It’s not about what you want but what your audience needs.

Your website must be user-friendly and easy to navigate around. If you make it hard for the user, the websites credibility will be affected.

3. Be more human

As an estate agency you should make your website as human as possible. Clear contact information, including telephone numbers and a full address are vital. Being able to be found on a map and street view also helps the user to see you as a reliable business.

You should include photos of your office and staff; this is a great personal touch and allows your potential customers to see who they may be dealing with. A small biography of each member of your staff can also go along way as it shows the human side of your business as well as your staff’s experiences.

4. Update your content regularly

Abandoned websites don’t look trustworthy to the user. You need to show new content is being posted not only to your internal pages but also your homepage.

You can do this by posting news articles or simply by changing your feature properties regularly. By doing this it shows the website is being maintained and gives the user a reason to return to your website.

5. Provide support for your service

It’s easy to say you are a leading estate agent in your area but users want to see proof. You can gain credibility by supplying testimonials or reviews about your business. You should include names and pictures if you can. By including these on your website will give the user confidence in your services.
