Wireless Charging Coming To The Next Generation iPhones

According to CEO of Wistron Corporation, Robert Hwang (the company that now manufacturers iPhones), the next 5.5 inch iPhone will be set up for wireless charging.

The company also said that the device will be waterproof.

Robert Hwang stated -

“Assembly process for the previous generations of [iPhones] has not changed much, though new features like waterproof and wireless charging now require some different testing, and waterproof function will alter the assembly process a bit.”

Wistron Corporation is working on the iPhone SEs and the iPhone 6S, but if those iPhone devices will have these features in the future, we can be sure to see these new features on the next generation iPhone this September.

Over the last few months the iPhone rumour mill has been going crazy as per usual, and there has been a lot of talk regarding the iPhone 8 having wireless charging capability but this is the first time a manufacturer has confirmed the rumours.

Of course, we can’t be sure that the iPhone 8 will have any of these new features until Apple announce the next generation iPhone this September but it looks like we will be able to ditch the wires very soon.

The iPhone 8 is rumoured to feature an edge-to-edge display screen including the TouchID and Home button built directly into the display, as well as Facial Recognition and Retina Scanner.

The device is expected to cost Apple fans a whopping $1000+.
