Whatsapp Reaches 1 Billion Daily Users

 

Whatsapp is one of the most popular apps around. Launched in 2009 and acquired in 2014, Whatsapp has now reached another massive milestone.

The messaging app has announced that they have reached one billion daily active users. Last year, they announced they had reached one billion monthly active users which is a huge leap in a year.

The company has been gradually expanding the apps features over the last year, including sharing photos in albums, photo filters and quick replies.

They also added video and group messaging recently.

Whatsapp now boast that they have 1.3 billion monthly active users that send 55 billion message every day, as well as sharing 4.5 billion photos and 1 billion videos a day per day. The app also is supported in 60 languages.

The number of active monthly user’s even tops Facebook’s other messaging service Facebook Messenger that receives 1.2 billion monthly users.
