The unveiling of the iPhone 6S is only a week away

Apple has finally sent out the invites to their up and coming event where they are likely to be unveiling the iPhone 6S on the 9th September.

Apple’s invites usually offer a subtle clue of what we can expect from the event and this year’s hint is “Hey Siri, give us a hit”.

This has obviously led many to believe that the rumours were true and we are expected to see the updated Siri interface from the Apple Watch and iOS 9, while the Apple logo position indicates the effect of a finger pushing into a display (Force Touch).

What can we expect?

While asking Siri to give us a hit only gets replies like “You’ll have to wait until 9 September. I bet you were one of those kids who snuck downstairs to open presents early, weren’t you?” or "The only hint I can give you right now is a hint of lime. And that there's a big announcement on September 9" or "Why don't you check a rumours blog? That's what I do” we still think we have a good idea of what we can expect.

We expect iOS 9 will be giving us an a lot smarter Siri, with the new Proactive feature. The new phone will almost certainly be called the iPhone 6S and the Force Touch display will be carried over from the Apple Watch to the new iPhone. An upgraded 12MP back camera is also thought to be on the cards.

The iPhone 6S won’t be alone either, we can expect an iPhone 6S Plus as well, which could be getting screen resolution upgrades (however this is still up for debate).

iPads, Apple TVs, App Stores?

Apart from the Siri update, Apple could be announcing a new Apple TV which will feature Siri to help you find what you are looking for. It may also feature its own App Store, allowing you to download apps and games for your TV.

We may also be seeing a new iPad Mini but the iPad Air 3 and the larger 12.9 inch iPad Pro is rumoured to be coming out at a later date.

Of course, we will have to wait and see but we will let you know what Apple unveils next week so stay tuned!
