The iPhone 7 PRO

| Technology

In the months leading up to the release of the iPhone 7 (expected this September) we will be seeing more and more leaks and rumours regarding the much anticipated device.

Over the last few weeks we have seen many iPhone 7 leaks and although several have appeared to match up, some have had conflictions in design leading us to believe they might not be genuine.

However, the latest leaks from the somewhat reliable Nowhere Else, shows three new iPhone devices, the iPhone 7, the iPhone 7 Plus and the possible extended model the iPhone 7 Pro. This could explain the reason why we have been seeing the iPhone 7 Plus with a single-lens as well as a dual camera.

The supposed new model has a couple of obvious features different from the standard iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which includes a dual camera and a smart connector port.

Rumours have also suggested that the iPhone 7 Pro will include a 256GB model.

Design

If the leaks are genuine, we can expect to see the iPhone 7 devices to have the same pebble-like design with rounded edges and the back of the device will still be made out of aluminium.

However, there are three main differences from the iPhone 6 range:

1) Camera

The main difference is of course the camera. It is a lot bigger than the iPhone 6 which indicates a camera upgrade for all 3 models. The camera bump is significantly larger than its predecessor, that has annoyed many fans, but it could mean a wider lens for better low-light performance, etc.

As for the iPhone 7 Pro, it looks like it will come with a dual camera for a better performance.

2) No headphone jack

This is one rumour that everyone seems to agree on. Apple appear to be planning on removing the headphone jack port which means Apple users will only be able to use Apple-made headphones, although there is likely to be adapters available for normal headphones ports.

It also looks like Apple could be working on Earbuds after it was discovered that they own the trademark ‘AirPods’, which after the announcement of Samsung’s Gear IconX earbuds  (that look amazing) may excite many Apple fans.

3) Antenna lines

One of the more subtle differences is the antenna lines on the back of the device that are slightly different from the iPhone 6, giving it a sleeker look.

It won’t be long until we get all the facts regarding the new devices from the source itself, but the iPhone 7 Pro could be a great addition to the iPhone range.

However, with all leaks, we advise you take the news with a pinch of salt.
