iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 to be released 22nd October
09 October, 2013 | Technology

Only a few weeks after the release of the new iPhone 5S and 5C, Apple has just announced their highly anticipated keynote for the iPad line on the 22nd October 2013.
This is the exact same day that Nokia is holding its Innovation Reinvented showcase and Microsoft Surface 2 goes on sale in the US.
We are expecting the unveiling of the new iPad Mini 2 and the iPad 5, and there is also the possibility of the rumoured super-sized iPad (although this one is very unlikely).
What can we expect?
Rumours have been flying around regarding the new generation iPad line. The iPad 5 is expected to have similar upgrades to the iPhone 5S, including a 64 bit A7 processor, a better camera and possibly TouchID Fingerprint. All this is supposedly going to be back up with 2GB of RAM.
The iPad Mini 2 is rumoured to come in champagne gold, with TouchID Fingerprint, have an A7 64-bit chip and M7 motion coprocessor backed by 1GB of RAM.
The Apple event isn’t completely centred around Apple tablets though, the new Macs and OS X Mavericks are supposed to get some airtime as well.
With only two weeks to go before the big announcement, it may be time to trade in your old iPad and get ready for the new one to be released just in time for Christmas!
