Apple’s WWDC 2017 Announced

It’s that time of year again and the countdown is on.

Apple has sent out press invites to its 28th annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) which will be held between the 5th to the 9th of June 2017.

Apple will commence its WWDC keynote on Tuesday 5th at 10am (PDT) at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.

As it is a big year for Apple (the 10 year anniversary of the iPhone), this year’s WWDC is expected to be a big one.

What to expect from WWDC 2017

Apple won’t only be announcing iOS 11, MacOS 10.1, TVOS 11 AND WatchOS 4 but are also rumoured to be announcing an Amazon Echo-like speaker with Siri and AirPlay.

iOS 11 is also expected to come with a revamped Apple Music app, which will showcase Apple’s original video content. Apple is rumoured to be releasing around 10 original shows and documentaries by the end of the year such as Carpool Karaoke.

The Siri-powered smart speaker has been described to look similar to an UE Boom Speaker or a Google Home with a concaved top. The device supposedly has built in controls, has a screen and includes some kind of Beats technology.

The other big rumour is that Apple is set to unveil a social networking app ‘Clips’ which will be similar to Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram, focusing on video sharing. The app is rumoured to allow users to record videos, make edits, add doodles and then send onto friends.
