Apple’s Big Event 7th September

| Technology

Apple has announced the date of their big event and the invitation practically confirms the unveiling on the highly anticipated iPhone 7.

Apple has sent out invitations for the event, which will take place in the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, San Francisco on Wednesday, the 7th of September at 10am local time (6pm our time).

Usually with these Apple event invitations they drop a couple of hints for what we can expect to see at the event and this year is no different…

Apple’s invitation has the tagline "See you on the 7th" which may not only refer to the date but possibly the 7th addition to the iPhone range as well.

The invitation also displays several translucent coloured dots in the shape of the top half of the Apple logo which may be hinting towards Apple’s plans to introduce new colours to the iPhone range.

Others have suggested it may be referring to an upgrade in camera lens as the out-of-focus effect which is displayed in the invitation is called “bokeh”. This effect is very hard to create with a smartphone camera which has led people to think it may be referring to a camera update.

Yet, some people believe these dots could also be water droplets, which could possibly mean the iPhone 7 may be waterproof…

The invitation doesn’t appear to hint towards any other devices we may see next week but we could also see the unveiling of the Apple Watch 2, the iPad Mini 5 and the iPad Pro 2 at next week’s event.

However, we will have to wait until next week to see what Apple really has up their sleeves for the next generation iPhone. Stay tuned!
