Apple To Launch Red iPhone 8 and 8 Plus

Apple has announced that they will be launching a red version of the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus to help fight HIV and AIDS.

This isn’t the first time Apple has released a special edition (PRODUCT) RED product with Apple having been in partnership with RED for over 11 years. Apple first released a red iPod Nano back in 2006. Last year, Apple brought the (PRODUCT) RED treatment to the iPhone by launching a red iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in March 2017.

According to Deborah Dugan, the CEO of (RED), Apple has donated over $160 million to (RED) to help fight HIV and AIDS.

$30 million of which came from last year’s iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of product marketing says,

“This special edition (PRODUCT)RED iPhone features a stunning red and black colour combination and also offers customers the opportunity to make an impact in fighting the spread of HIV and AIDS”

Unfortunately the iPhone X isn’t going to be available in red but Apple has released new red iPhone X leather cases.

When you buy any Apple product marked with (PRODUCT) RED, Apple donates a portion of the proceeds to Global Fund to help fight HIV and AIDS.
