Apple Sends Out WWDC 2018 Invites

Apple is less than 2 weeks away from unveiling their future plans for iOS and Siri, and we are anticipating some big changes.

Apple sent out the invitations for the WWDC 2018, which will be held on the 4th June in San Jose, California.

As always the invitation doesn’t give much away but the keynote is expected to start at 10am Pacific Time (6pm our time).

The event is usually where Apple unveils the next version of iOS and macOS, as well as its other platforms and on the odd occasion they also introduce new hardware, such as last year when they unveiled the HomePod.

This year, we can expect to see a major update for Apple’s virtual assistant Siri. This update was hinted by no other than Siri itself.

When asked about WWDC 2018, Siri responds with a variety of responses saying –

“I don’t want to brag, but I’m getting a lot smarter. It must be all that late night studying I’ve been doing…”

Or Siri brags about getting a brand new voice saying –

“La la la, Siri is getting a brand new voice!”

Siri also potential suggests that a brand new HomePod speaker will be unveiled saying -

“I’m gonna have shiny new home! Well, not really shiny, more meshy and matte…”

Many Apple fans will be very happy about this news as Siri’s capabilities have significantly fallen behind the likes of Google’s Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa.

iOS 12 is also expected to be improving the core features rather than adding new features to its roster, so we can expect to see a lot of great things at this year’s WWDC.

Apple usually keeps their secrets until the last minute so we are likely to have a few other surprises that are in the works too.

Luckily, we don’t have very long to wait until Apple unveils all!
