Apple Invites Sent – September 12th

It’s that time of year once again and Apple has officially announced that they will be holding their next big event on the 12th September.

The invite’s tagline teaser says “Gather round.”, with a single rose gold/copper ring above it.

But what does it mean?

The invitation doesn’t give much away as to what we can expect from the event but there are a few theories floating around regarding invite teaser.

First off, the Ring is simply the Apple Park logo (the headquarters of Apple Inc). The building has been nicknamed “the spaceship” due to its circular design.

However, some have suggested that it may have a double meaning also hinting at the new round Apple Watch that has been rumoured to be released alongside the new iPhones.

The other theory is that the colour of the ring is the thing to take note of rather than the logo, suggesting Apple may be releasing a new copper colour for the new Apple products.

So what can we expect to see at the event?

1) New iPhones

Apple is expected to release three new iPhones, all of which will resemble the iPhone X. At this time, no one is certain on what the next generation iPhones will be called but we can expect to see it in a range of different colours including gold.

2) Apple Watch Series 4

A lot of talk has been going around regarding the Apple Watch Series 4 which is rumoured to have a completely new design focused on increasing the screen size (without actually increasing the case size).

The Watch is also expected to come with a number of new and improved features such as an improved heart rate monitor.

3) iPad Pro

There is also a chance we might see two new iPad Pro upgrades with Face ID and no Home Button. The new devices are said to come in an 11-inch version (slightly bigger than its 10.5-inch predecessor) and also a 12.9-inch version.

4) AirPower

AirPower, is Apple’s wireless charging mat which was preview last September but despite Apple having said the product would be released early 2018, we still haven’t got a concrete release date.

The product is expected to be released alongside the new iPhones.

5) MacBook

Lastly, we may also see a new 13-inch MacBook (replacing the MacBook Air) during the event. Rumours have suggested that the device will resemble the current 12-inch MacBook but will include Retina display and a thinner bezel.

Of course, this is all speculation but we can be certain that Apple will be unveiling at least a few of these exciting new products next week!

The event will be hosted at Steve Jobs Theatre and will kick off at 6pm UK time.
