Apple Confirms March 25th Event

Apple has officially confirmed that it will be holding an event this month to reportedly showcase a new line-up of services and potentially hardware as well.

The invitation as per usual don’t give much away but it did include an animated countdown GIF with the tagline “It’s show time.” This has led many to believe that Apple are hinting at the long-rumoured TV service.

Reports have suggested that the event will solely focus on Apple services, such as Apple TV streaming service and Apple News subscription service. But there is always a chance Apple might drop in one of the highly anticipated devices such as AirPods 2 or the long-awaited AirPower wireless charging pad.

Funnily enough, this isn’t the first time Apple has used the “It’s show time” tagline for an event, back in September 2006 Apple used the same tagline for the release of the Apple TV (or iTV as it was originally called).

Alongside the Apple TV streaming service (which is rumoured to be launching this spring), Apple are also rumoured to be unveiling their Apple News subscription service, which will offer a Netflix-style bundle for magazines and subscription newspapers located all in one place.

The event is scheduled to take place at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino on the 25th March at 10am PT (5pm our time).
