Apple Announces WWDC 2018

It’s that time of year again; Apple has just announced their annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC 18) which will take place from the 4th to the 8th of June.

The conference will take place at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose.

This event is traditionally where Apple unveils their new operating system iOS and this year isn’t likely to be different. Apple is expected to introduce iOS 12, macOS 10.14, watchOS 5 and more.

We are likely to see a lot of focus on the new iOS, which is expected to have a massive overhaul. Along with the new operating systems for iOS, Mac and Apple Watch, Apple TVs operating system is rumoured to be having an update as well.

Apart from that, Apple may also announce a number of new devices and hardware.

The rumour mill has been buzzing with talks of a new low-cost iPad and iPad Pro, as well as a new iPhone SE and MacBook Air.

There has also been a lot of buzz about a new high-end, noise-cancelling over-ear headphones and upgraded AirPods with advanced Siri integration.

The update to iOS is expected to bring new augmented reality features, new Animojis, as well as a number of new features.

At last year’s WWDC, Apple unveiled the 10.5 inch iPad Pro, iMac Pro, MacBook Pros and also mentioned the HomePod, so it is likely that we will see at least a few of these rumoured devices at WWDC 18.
