Was Your Facebook Data Harvested By Cambridge Analytica?

Facebook is currently in the middle of a massive data scandal, which was originally said to have affected 50 million users but Facebook has now confirmed that the number was actually over 87 million users.

While most of those affected were in the U.S, many users have been keen to find out if their data had been scrapped.

Facebook did promise that they would send out a notification informing users whether or not their data had been harvested by Cambridge Analytica but many have said that they haven’t had a notification regarding the issue yet.

However, Facebook has released a new tool that will instantly answer whether or not your data was harvested by Cambridge Analytica.

You can find out if you were affected here.

You will have to be logged into Facebook to access the tool.

Here you will be able to see if your data was shared where it says “Was My Information Shared?”

If you haven’t been affected it will read –

Based on our available records, neither you nor your friends logged into "This Is Your Digital Life."

As a result, it doesn't appear your Facebook information was shared with Cambridge Analytica by This Is Your Digital Life.”

It is very unlikely that you will have had your data harvested by Cambridge Analytica, but Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg has recently confirmed that a large number of Facebook users are likely to have had their data scraped at some point.
