Social media is one of the leading platforms for online marketing due to its extensive reach possibilities and ability to allow you to connect to your audience.

But how can estate agents effectively use of social media?

Here are 10 tips from social experts that you need to implement to ensure you receive the maximum effectiveness of your social media marketing efforts:

1. Post frequently

This is one of the most important things you have to do in order to find success on social media platforms. Your audience follow you because they want to hear from you, the more they hear from you, the more they will trust you. The more they trust you, the more likely they are to use your services.

2. Only post relevant content that is interesting, educational or entertaining

Everything you post has to have some sort of value for your audience to want to read, like and share it.

3. Post unique content

Try not to recycle old posts as most people will have already seen it before. If you want to stand out on social media, then your content will need to be unique or at least new (and unseen) by your followers.

4. Share and retweet

Sharing and retweet others content will help widen your audience and prove that you know what is relevant. By sharing or retweeting it will mean more posts for your audience to see and appreciate too.

5. Be helpful

You should always try to be genuinely helpful, if your audience has a question then try to answer it as fast as possible. Avoid responding with call to actions or sales language, just be genuinely helpful.

6. Always use images

Images stand out and get better engagement than posts that are just content. Ensure you use images to your advantage.

7. Use hashtags where possible

Don’t create hashtags off the top of your head; make sure you do your research into trending hashtags to ensure they get maximum exposure. Hashtags should be used to broaden your reach and they can only do that if you follow existing trends.

8. Don’t over stretch

If you are new to social media, then don’t attempt to use all social media channels at once. It may seem like a good idea to be seen across multiple platforms but the likelihood of you being able to manage them all is very slim. Aim to master one social media platform before you move onto the next.

9. Don’t be afraid to Automate

You want to maintain a continuous flow of content and automation will make this easier. Most social media platforms have automation tools to schedule posts, ensure you make the most of them to keep your content fresh and up-to-date.

10. Be an authority

Your aim should be to be seen as an authoritative figure in your industry and local area. Ensure you only post content that proves you are!
