Instagram Post Scheduling For Businesses

Instagram has announced a new feature which will please a lot of social media managers.
Instagram now allows business profiles to schedule posts. At this time, the new feature only works for photos, not videos and is only available through third-party social media management tools.
This means, to use post scheduling on Instagram you will have to subscribe to one of the companies that is a Facebook/Instagram marketing partner such as HootSuite.
This is the first time that post scheduling has been available on Instagram, and although this feature is limited to business profile, Instagram have said that they will be rolling this out to regular profiles by early 2019.
This change to the social platform has been part of a large revamp to Instagram’s API platform, replacing the old API with a newer Graph API, which will include the ability to analyse metrics and insights for business performances on Instagram, as well as moderate comments and access business mentions.
They have also added another new feature Business Discovery, which enables businesses to view other business profile information and media.
These new features will be opened up to all Instagram users in the near future but for now are only restricted to business profiles.
