8 Steps To The Best Social Media Campaign

Social media has many benefits for an estate agent. However, in order to gain success, you need to dedicate yourself to it. It is important that you set out a plan of action with clear goals and targets.

Here are the 8 steps to social success:

1) Know your audience

You need to know what your audience wants you to post. Why are they following you? Obviously, your posts have to be relevant to your business so find interesting things to post regarding your industry or local area. You can also help them by posting solutions or tips for common problems when buying, selling or renting. Give them tips and advice and they will love you for it.

2) Find out where your audience is

Go where your audience is, do a bit of research and find out what platforms they are likely to be using. Facebook and Twitter are commonly the favourites but do a bit of research behind all the social platforms.

3) Figure out how you will measure success

What do you want to achieve through social media? How are you going to measure it? For example, you may measure success by how many people like your individual posts or how many people contact you through social media. Whatever it is make sure you take note as some strategies may be more successful than others.

4) Get your staff involved

Many estate agents try to manage their social media accounts on their own and fail. Instead divide responsibilities amongst your staff, lightening the workload.

5) Prepare

Prepare what you are going to post; plan a course of action every week - when to post, what to post, etc. Come up with original ideas; find interesting articles to post, link to your own content or anything you think might interest your audience.

6) Post content that is relevant to industry news and local events

As soon as you hear about news regarding your brand, industry or local area, you should share your option of the matter. By posting this sort of information proves you are on top of things, which means your audience is likely to follow you and your business more closely.

7) Pay attention to metrics

You should be reporting metrics either weekly or monthly depending on your goals to ensure your social efforts are moving in the right direction.

8) Re-analyse and re-strategize regularly

After you’ve gone through your report, if something isn’t working then switch things up. It’s pointless using the same strategies if they aren’t working. At the start you are likely to experimenting with types of posts, when you post, where to post, etc in order to find the best solution for your business. It is important to monitor how your social media efforts are doing and re-strategize to keep moving forward.
