Every year Google releases the results of the most searched things of the last 12 months. These results are always fascinating, allowing us to see what people around the world are thinking about throughout the year.

These results aren’t necessarily the most searched terms of the year overall but instead the most searched “trends”, meaning the searches that were extremely popular at certain times throughout the year.

Google breaks down these searches into many categories such as most searched people, actors, athletes, books, cars, among many others.
