Is your business optimised properly for local search?
How to dominate local search results:
1. Area location keywords
It’s important for an estate agent to use their location within their keywords and include those keywords within their title tags and h1 tags to help them rank within the search results.
For example – estate agents in Farnham
2. Include all your business information
Be sure to include your business name, full address and phone number on every page of your website. This needs to be clearly displayed.
3. Gain high quality backlinks
Domain authority is still a primary ranking factor for local search and without high quality backlinks your websites rankings will suffer.
What we mean by high quality backlinks are links from relevant websites, with high domain authority. These links are highly valued by Google.
4. Google+ Places
Google+ provides a local business page which gives local business a chance to appear in the local search results. Every estate agency office should claim their Google+ Places page as it will help them appear higher in the search results.
Be sure to provide as much information as possible, including images, contact information, opening times and a brief description of your business. Reviews on this page can also improve your rankings so whenever possible try to encourage your clients to leave a review.
5. Be mobile friendly
Mobile users are important to estate agents as a huge number of mobile searches are for local businesses. It is vital for your website to be mobile friendly (either by having a responsive website or a mobile website) to ensure the user gets the best experience possible.
