Verify Your Facebook Business Page

Having a Facebook Business Page has become a necessity for all estate agents. There are many benefits for getting your business involved on Facebook from great exposure to driving more traffic.

Facebook is an important platform for estate agents and they have now enabled all business pages to get even greater authority after rolling out verification badges.

Why do you need to verify your business on Facebook?

By verifying your Facebook page/s, it will make it easier for your audience to find your official business page when searching on Facebook.

Businesses with verified pages will also appear higher up on Facebooks search results so it is vital for you to get your business page verified.

Here is what a verified Facebook page looks like:

How do you get verified?

So, you want to get verified? Here’s how you do it:

1) Log onto your Facebook Business Page

2) Click on the Settings button at the top right of your Page

3) From General, click on Page Verification

4) Click Verify this Page, and then click Get Started

5) Enter your business phone number, along with an extension number if you have one

6) Enter the Country you are in

7) Enter the Call Language

8) Once all this information is filled in click Call Me Now

9) Then enter the 4-digit verification code and click Continue

Your Facebook Business page should now be verified, and you will be able to see a grey verification badge next to your business name on your Facebook page.

If this doesn’t work or you would prefer to verify your Facebook Business Page in another way, you can verify by using a business document instead.

You can do this by clicking Verify this Page with documents instead at the bottom of the Enter a publicly listed phone number for your business or organization step of the verification process. To verify your business this way you will need to upload one of these documents:

  • Business utility or phone bill
  • Business license
  • Business tax file
  • Certificate of formation
  • Articles of incorporation

However, doing it this way may take a few days to be verified.

Facebook have really upped their local business marketing efforts over the last year and this is just another way you can make your estate agency Facebook page stand out from the crowd.

We would strongly recommend any estate agency with a Facebook Business Page to get it verified as soon as possible by following these steps above.
