Possible Recovery
Maybe Business Minister Baroness Vadera did not make such a blunder
when she said she could see the glimmer of an economic
recovery.
Redundancies do continue, with several estate agents still
losing staff but a number of agencies across the country have
reported in just the first few weeks of 2009 a surge in buyer
enquiries. New initiatives are currently in process with the large
property portals working hard to develop extra support services to
help and ease estate agents as best they can.
December saw transaction levels hitting an all time low, down to
10.1 per agency, as reported by The Royal Institution of Chartered
Surveyors, fuelling speculation that new business is building.
