Google changes, will it affect your SEO?
Back in September, Resource
Techniques reported that Google had a secret plan with the codename
caffeine and now sources have shown that we are
nearing its release!
For those that missed it, Google has been working on a way to
upgrade its search engine so that it will continue to keep the
majority of the search engine market. Users will not see this
change as everything is modified 'under the hood/bonnet' so to
speak.
Now Google have announced that Caffeine will go live in its
first data centre in the United States. Before estate agents
screaming 'the end is nigh!' Google gave web masters a chance to
compare their Google rankings in a sandbox. A sandbox is a software
development term for testing that allows background changes without
affecting the original code.
The Sandbox page has been updated and now
states:
"We appreciate all the feedback from people who searched
on our Caffeine sandbox.
Based on the success we've seen, we believe Caffeine is ready for a
larger audience. Soon we will activate Caffeine more widely,
beginning with one data center. This sandbox is no longer necessary
and has been retired, but we appreciate the testing and positive
input that webmasters and publishers have given. "
This has been reported that there are two things that estate
agents can get from this change. The first is that the testing has
been successful and the second is that Caffeine will go live within
next year.
Resource Techniques has a dedicated team looking after Search
Engine Optimisation (SEO) for all our estate agent websites. Any
web design changes or content changes will be made so that our
