Estate Agent Google Maps - 6 ways property searchers can use Google
Maps
Estate Agents have
had their eyes glued to Google Maps since its Australian expansion, and
now many are holding their breath till the UK version hosts
properties.
Till that moment in time the Estate Agent website team at
Resource Techniques has compiled a list of features that are
massively underused but still helpful in everyday life.
1. Star choice - This is the same as
Google’s SERP (Search Engine Results Page) where users can
‘star’ any result so that they do not have to remember
it in the future. Particularly useful if property searchers want to
flag any properties that they find on Google Maps.
2. Location aware - Many people miss the little
button above the yellow Street view drag and drop man. It allows
your computer to share its location with Google so that your
results are more relevant to you. Alas, it only works on Firefox
and Chrome for the time being.
3. A B C easy as 1 2 3 - Instead of just
creating an A-to-B route, users can create multiple locations in
which they want to visit, so without using a Sat-Nav, Estate Agents
can plan all their appointments for the day.
4. Report a bad location - Users that are
signed into their Google account can report any errors that occur
which will hopefully continue to increase the accuracy of the
listings.
5. Town Album - This is perfect for anyone
wanting to move to a new area. Local photos will give them the
impression of the area and any interesting points of reference.
6. Search Nearby - Property searchers have all
varying interests, from apple –bobbing to xylophone playing.
This option allows them to indulge in their hobbies and see what is
available in the local area.

embedded into their website showing local places of interests as
well as properties for sale will be heads and shoulders above many
other Estate Agent websites.'
